FIBERS

The choice of fiber is important when selecting a cleaning product. Each fiber has properties that are unique and tailored to the types of surfaces. The technical information will help determine the ideal fiber for your broom, your brush or your mop.

COCO FIBERS

Coco is a natural fiber more economical than Tampico. Normally used or a medium sweep.

HORSEHAIR BLEND

Natural & synthetic horsehair blend. Very soft. Ideal for fine dust.

SYNTHETIC HORSEHAIR

Black & white synthetic horsehair blend (Durastran). It withstands moisture and has excellent wearing properties. When the ends are “flagged” the fiber allows for more fine dust retention making it ideal for smooth hard surfaces. Other Properties: High set resistance, high springiness, higher yield than PVC.

DURASTRAN

Colors: White, yellow, red, green.

Durastran (Styrene) is a synthetic fiber, available in straight or crimped version and in a variety of colors. It withstands moisture and has excellent wearing properties. When the ends are “flagged” the fiber allows for more fine dust retention making it ideal for smooth hard surfaces. Other Properties: High set resistance, high springiness, higher yield than PVC.

UNION FIBER

Union fiber is a mixture of two or more materials – usually Tampico and Palmyra. It has a medium stiff texture and is a mix of light and dark brown fibers. For medium scrub applications.

RED UNION MIX FIBER

It is a mixture of Tampico and Palmyra who has been especially treated to resist heat. For usage in high temperature.

NYLEX

Colors : Green.

Nylex (Nylon) is a synthetic fiber that offers an excellent resilience to acid and most solvents. Its low moisture absorption makes it an excellent fiber for wet applications. Very soft which makes it ideal for automotive and window cleaning. Also has a good memory and will return to its original shape.

PALMYRA

Palmyra is a natural fiber. It is durable , waterand heat resistant which makes it ideal for stiff scrubbing applications.

POLYPROPYLENE

Colors: Blue, grey, brown, red, black, yellow, burgundy, white, green, aqua, beige, orange.

Polypropylene is a synthetic fiber of high quality, available in straight or crimped version and in a variety of colors. The fiber is very light with excellent resilience to acid and most solvents. Not recommended for very high temperature applications.

PROSTRAN

Colors: White.

Prostran (Polypropylene) is a synthetic fiber of high quality, available in straight or crimped version. The fiber is very light with excellent resilience to acid and most solvents.

PVC

Colors: Grey, blue, burgundy, red, yellow, black.

Polyvinyl chloride is a synthetic fiber available in straight or crimped version and in a variety of colors. Resistant to chemicals, oils, solvents and moisture. This fiber has an excellent memory and will return to original shape. PVC is the most widely used synthetic fiber due to its versatility.

NATURAL TAMPICO

Colors: Natural (Creamy white), black.

Tampico is a natural fiber that is naturally creamy white in color but is usually died black. Tampico has a soft to medium texture with good durability. The fiber is resistant to water, heat, acid and alkali. It is frequently mixed or blended with other materials to vary the texture and properties. It is a long lasting highly versatile fiber, ideal for “all purpose” or medium sweeping.

WYTEX

Colors : White.

Wytex (Nylon) is a synthetic fiber that offers an excellent resilience to acid and most solvents. Its low moisture absorption makes it an excellent fiber for wet applications. Also has a good memory and will return to its original shape.
